Schaumburg Prairie Center Invites Patrons to Celebrate the Arts Saturday, Sept. 13
The Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts puts the ART in PARTY when it hosts Celebrate the Arts on Saturday, September 13 from 7 pm until 11 pm.
This year's arts benefit turns the center into the area's liveliest speakeasy, inviting guests to don their best prohibition-era cocktail attire and step back in time to a golden age of flappers, gangsters and 'blind tigers,' where outlawed libations were poured late into the night.
Food tastings highlight the event, provided by top area restaurants including Bahama Breeze - Caribbean-inspired cuisine; Bonefish Grill - American-casual seafood dining; Chandler's - World class chophouse and grill; L'Eiffel Bistrot & Creperie; Moretti's - Chicago-style Italian food; Pita House - Authentic Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Arabic food; Sam & Harry's - Steakhouse serving expertly prepared steak, seafood, and wine; Seasons 52 - Fresh seasonal specialties; Westwood Tavern - Honest American cooking done well; and Whole Foods - Specializing in natural, organic foods.
Guests can also dance, sway, or just chill to live music performed by Martini Lunch, Jin and Tonic, and Moonlight Cocktail.
Other diversions include a chance to bid on gift-worthy silent auction items, a cash bar featuring wine, beer and select specialty drinks, and 'Big Al's Hideaway,' where, after revealing the entry password, guests can receive a collectible party favor.
All food and entertainment are included in the ticket price, a portion of which qualifies as a tax-deductible donation to the arts in Schaumburg.
