Judges wanted for Schaumburg’s best Halloween houses

You can travel around Schaumburg seeing ghoulishly good homes on Monday, Oct. 28. The Schaumburg Park District’s annual Halloween House Decorating Tour for all ages will by bus, at 6 p.m. from the Community Recreation Center at 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Participants on the tour will judge the houses featured in the Halloween House Decorating Contest. The tour will end at 8:30 p.m. Preregistration is required by 9 p.m. Oct. 22. The fee is $8 for park district residents and $12 for nonresidents. To enter a home in the contest, return the entry forms available at parkfun.com or the district’s fall guide to the Community Recreation Center by 9 p.m. Oct. 25.
