Free fall into Fitness Week at Schaumburg Park District

Shake up fitness routines in free classes at the Schaumburg Park District during Fall into Fitness Week from Aug. 25 to 31. All Fitness Unlimited, Club 55 and preregistration fitness classes are free. Classes will be held at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road; Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way; Schaumburg Tennis Plus, 1416 N. Payne Road; and The Water Works, 505 N. Springinsguth Road.

Fitness Unlimited classes for ages 14 and older include Piloxing, a unique mix of Pilates and boxing, and Warrior Workout, a 60-minute class that starts with high energy kickboxing and ends with yoga.

Club 55 classes for ages 55 and older include Tai Chi, a class that helps improve posture and balance by moving the body slowly and gently, and Strong Heart and Body, a class that strengthens the entire body using bands, balls and stretching.

Preregistration fitness classes include Zumba, a dance class that uses Latin moves and rhythms, and Couch to Cardio, a class that teaches participants how to move the body to become stronger and fitter.

Preregistration is not required for any classes during the free week.
