Property tax presentation on Aug. 14

House District 59 State Rep. Carol Sente said she is hosting a bipartisan property tax presentation on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 6:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Sullivan Community Center, 635 North Aspen Drive in Vernon Hills. Sente’s office is partnering with Lake County Board Chairman Aaron Lawlor, State Rep. Ed Sullivan, State Rep. Elaine Nekritz, and Vernon Township Assessor Gary Raupp on the workshop for Vernon Township residents. The township’s property tax assessments are scheduled to go out just a few days following the event, she said, and the workshop will provide important information for residents to understand and appeal their bill, if necessary.
