U-46 offers final registration assistance in August

Elgin Area School District U-46 is offering a series of final registration assistance events in August for those families who have not yet registered their students for the 2013-14 school year.

To date, more than 22,600 have registered using the district’s new online registration and payment option through Infinite Campus Portal. Online registration and online payment will close July 31 at 4:30 p.m.

“Our goal is to have families register their students as early as possible so that they are prepared on the first day of school, which is right around the corner on Aug. 19,” said Superintendent José M. Torres. “Those families who haven’t registered their students should mark their calendars for one of the final registration assistance events in August.”

During the August registration assistance events, students must register at their school.

Ÿ Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 1 to 7 p.m., and Thursday, Aug. 8 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Elgin, Larkin, and Streamwood high schools; Abbott, Canton, Ellis, Kimball, and Larsen middle schools; Century Oaks, Channing, Coleman, Creekside, Glenbrook, Hanover Countryside, Harriet Gifford, Heritage, Highland, Hillcrest, Hilltop, Huff, Illinois Park, Independence, Lincoln, Lords Park, Lowrie, McKinley, Oakhill, Parkwood, Ridge Circle, Sheridan, Sunnydale, Timber Trails, and Washington elementary schools

Ÿ Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 1 to 7 p.m., and Friday, Aug. 9, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Bartlett, Gifford Street, South Elgin high schools and Central Schools Programs; Eastview, Kenyon Woods, and Tefft middle schools; Bartlett, Centennial, Clinton, Fox Meadow, Garfield, Hawk Hollow, Horizon, Laurel Hill, Liberty, Nature Ridge, Otter Creek, Prairieview, Spring Trail, Sycamore Trails, Wayne and Willard elementary schools.

Ÿ Tuesday, Aug. 13, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Ontarioville Elementary School.

High school students who have completed online registration and payment before July 21 can pick up their class schedules at their high school on Aug. 1-2 between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. High school students who complete online registration/payment between July 21-July 31 may pick up their class schedules at their high school during August final registration assistance events.
