Enjoy Summer Picnic at Atcher Island and Park

Bring family and friends to a Schaumburg Park District picnic from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at Atcher Island and Park, 730 S. Springinsguth Road.

The event will include a moon bounce inflatable, cool carnival games, fabulous face painting, music and great barbecue food.

“Picnics are the best part of summer,” said Jen Gorczyca, aquatics supervisor for the park district. “There is plenty of entertainment to go around and everyone will have a blast!”

This event is for all ages. Admission is $2. Food will be available for purchase. Cost is $3 for a hot dog or brat, chips and drink.

Another summer picnic is planned for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Aug. 15, at Volkening Lake, 900 W. Schaumburg Road.
