Accelerated Beginner Taoist Tai Chi class now enrolling

Life is about balancing tasks while nourishing the mind, body and spirit. Combined with a proper fitness training program and nutrition, Tai Chi can provide the alternative form of movement that enables improved physical well being and stress reduction. Taoist Tai Chi® was developed by Moy Lin Shin to promote health and well-being for people of all ages. The benefits of Taoist Tai Chi® are improved circulation, balance, increased strength and flexibility. The Taoist Tai Chi Society® of the Fox Valley area is offering an accelerated beginner Taoist Tai Chi® class the weekend of May 4 and 5. It will run from 10a-5p on Sat and 10-4 on Sunday. There is no single day session option for this class. For this class only, the fee is $140 for Adults, $120 for students and $100 for seniors and includes a 3 month membership so students can immediately commence continuing classes upon finishing the beginner module. The class will be held at the Charlestowne Mall location, lower level, next to Carson's.

The Taoist Tai Chi® set is comprised of 36 different movements arranged in a sequence of 108 moves.. (Don't worry, students will not have the entire set memorized after the weekend class or even the regular 3 month beginner class...It takes 6-8 months of regular guided practice in order to commit it to memory) Prospective students are always welcome to visit a regular beginner class before deciding to enroll. If you've never taken a class with the Taoist Tai Chi Society® before, this is a thorough introduction to the form. For beginner students, this is an excellent way to review and/or complete the set. If a student hasn't been practicing for a while, this is a great refresher class. The Taoist Tai Chi Society® is a not for profit 501 c 3 charitable organization.
