A St. Edward hero

St. Edward sophomore basketball player Jordan Paz was honored before the Green Wave’s varsity contest against Walther Lutheran in Elgin on Thursday night.

Paz is undergoing treatment for Leukemia, and school personnel arranged an “Orange Out Night” to offer support. Fans donned orange shirts, and team members from both sides formed a receiving line for Paz and her family to enter center court amid cheers and a standing ovation.
