Glenbard East spreads the wealth in win

Glenbard East had four players score in double figures en route to a second straight victory at the round-robin District 87 boys basketball tournament Tuesday in Glen Ellyn.

The Rams (2-0) defeated Glenbard North 70-50.

Tahron Harvey’s 15 points led all scorers, with Jaron Hall adding 13 and 11 apiece from Mike Kjeldsen and Greg Ludwing.

“We were happy with the effort,” said Rams coach Scott Miller. “We came out a lot of pressure on the ball, created things with our defense which is how we want to play. Good team effort, a lot of guys got involved, which is what we want to continue to do.”

The Panthers (0-2), shorthanded because the football team will play in the Class 8A championship game at 7 p.m. Saturday, got a team-high 14 points from senior Harry Singh and 12 from junior Pasquale Fiduccia.

The Rams meet host Glenbard West at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in a battle of tournament unbeatens.
