Stuff-A-Truck Food Drive Donation

At Du Page Montessori School in Wheaton, philanthropy is an integral part of the curriculum. Following Maria Montessori's vision of being stewards of our community, the school once again, sponsored a box for the Stuff-A-Truck Food Drive. The teachers explained to the children the reason for the box in the hallway and how it helps families in need of food in our community. The teachers also discussed the different food groups and how important good food is for us to stay healthy. Before the food was picked up the children counted and grouped the food together. "This is a great opportunity for our young students to give back to the community," states Sharon Breen, Co-Director of Du Page Montessori School. The staff at Du Page Montessori would like to thank all the families who participated in this worthy cause!
