Leagues of Women Voters to Host Candidate Forums

The League of Women Voters of Evanston, Glencoe, Glenview, Wilmette, and Winnetka-Northfield-Kenilworth will hold public candidate forums for the Illinois Representative 17th District, Illinois Senate 9th District, and the Illinois Representative 18th District races on Sunday, Oct. 21. The forum will take place at the Wilmette Village Hall, 1200 Wilmette Ave.

Below is the schedule for the debates:

1 to 2:15 pm - Illinois Representative 17th District

• Laura Fine (D)

• Kyle Frank (R)

2:30 to 3:30 pm – Illinois Senate 9th District

• Daniel Biss (D)

• Glenn Farkas (R)

3:45 to 4:45 pm – Illinois Representative 18th District

• Robyn Gabel (D)

• Eric Joseph Lieberman (R)

The public will be able to submit written questions for the candidates at the forum.

Questions regarding the forum can be referred to 847-507-7479 or 847-729-7493. Questions regarding general election issues, voting districts and candidates can be answered at www.cookcountyclerk.com or by calling the County Clerk's office at 312-603-5656.

The forum will be taped for rebroadcast by various local cable networks.
