Renz Center offers free substance abuse assessments in September
In honor of National Recovery Month this September, Renz Addiction Counseling Center is offering a month of free substance abuse assessments and one-on-one consultations to community residents who think they may have an alcohol or drug problem. The assessment involves completing a questionnaire and meeting with a counselor.
βIn the event an individual needs treatment,β said Renz Center's Executive Director Jerry Skogmo, βa customized plan is created. Often, an individual can continue to work and participate in family life while in treatment. And if an individual does not have insurance or Medicaid, the Center employs a sliding fee scale so no one is denied treatment because of an inability to pay.β
The free assessments are only available during the month of September at Renz Center's Two American Way in Elgin facility. Appointments are encouraged. For more information on the free assessments, call (847) 742-3545.
