Schaumburg's new park features commemorative paths
Located at the recently renovated Volkening Lake, Tribute Park features walkways of attractive pathway stones just waiting for your message, family name or memory.
The achievements of Schaumburg residents and others make a positive impact on the community. Bricks may mark milestone birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, proposals and other memories.
Commemorative pathway bricks in three sizes are available to purchase with permanently engraved personalized messages. The memorial bricks will be placed throughout the walkways and walls of the park. The bricks are “Brussels” pavers, tumbled paving stones featuring a quarried look and texture. The halftone is $75, the fullstone is $100 and the extra large stone is $150. Benches, starting at $3,000, also are featured in the Tribute program.
The proceeds from Tribute bricks and benches benefit the Schaumburg Park Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization.
Volkening Lake, located adjacent to Schaumburg Road and Salem Drive, is home to paddle boat and canoe rentals, ample parking, special events and handicapped accessible paths.
