Elgin Area School District U-46 to host volunteer reception

Elgin Area School District U-46 board of education will host the 15th annual volunteer reception Tuesday, June 5, at the Educational Services Center, 355 E. Chicago St. in downtown Elgin.

Hundreds of staff and community members serve on a variety of districtwide advisory councils and committees each year. This group provides the support the district needs to help students, involve parents, reach out to the community and in general, add to the learning experiences of our children.

They plan workshops, support activities, provide input to the board, are seen at numerous district events and serve on advisories. They are the volunteers who serve at the district level.

The reception will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. with a presentation at 5:15 p.m. to recognize all volunteers.
