Cary pool opens for the season June 1

The Cary Park District Community Pool, 255 Briargate Road, will open for the 2012 summer season starting Friday, June 1.
On Monday through Friday, there will be adult lap swim from 11:15 a.m. to noon and 5:15 to 6 p.m.; and open swim from noon to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday hours are adult lap swim from 9 to 9:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. to noon, and open swim from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday hours are open swim from noon to 6:30 p.m., and family swim from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Only family groups will be admitted and flotation devices will be allowed during family swim.
The pool will be open Aug. 6-Sept. 3 with modified hours.
The regular pool pass rates for residents and nonresident are: $42/$63 for age 17 and younger; $50/$75 for adults, age 18 and older; $66/$99 for a family of two with each additional family member for $23/$35. The cost for seniors, age 55 and older, is $42/$63; and a senior family of two is $60/$90.
Regular summer season pool passes may be purchased at the Community Center.
Anyone entering the pool site during open swim who does not have a season pool pass must pay the daily fee. In order to pay a resident daily fee, patrons may have to show proof of residency in the form of a utility bill, driver’s license, tax bill, resident ID card or other identification. The daily fees for residents and nonresident for the 2012 season are: $3/$8 for youth; $5/$8 for adults; $5 for guest with pass holder; and free for ages 2 and younger.
