Westminster’s Beachler qualifies in 3 events

Westminster Christian senior Josh Beachler qualified for the Class 1A state finals in three events Friday night out of the Seneca boys track sectional.

Beachler finished second in the 100-meter dash (11.313) and second in the 200 (22.982) as well as third in the 400 (51.625) to advance to next weekend’s state finals at Eastern Illinois University.

St. Edward will also send its 3,200 relay team to state after it finished second in 8:25.227 Friday night.
