Daily Herald report

Geneva 8, Elgin 0: The Maroons (0-14, 0-5) were unable to find the back of the net as they fell in Upstate Eight River action. Norma Pinon recorded 15 saves in goal.

Dundee-Crown 1, Prairie-Ridge 0: Hannah Larsen gave the Chargers (3-16, 1-4) all the scoring they would need as she found the back of the net in the first half off a feed from Francesca Scarpelli to earn a Fox Valley Conference Valley Division win. Denise Maldonado preserved the shut out with 7 saves in goal.

McHenry 3, Crystal Lake South 2: The Gators found themselves tied 1-1 at halftime, but couldn’t finish as they fell 3-2 in FVC Valley action. Macky Taldone and Bianca Miceli each recorded a goal for the Gators while Gianna DiSarno turned away 6 shots on goal.

Batavia 6, Streamwood 2: Stephanie Brown and Kim Jimenez each recorded goals for the Sabres (8-11-1, 2-4), but it wasn’t enough as they fell to Batavia in Upstate Eight River action. Natalie Guindon recorded 7 saves in goal.

Waubonsie Valley 3, Bartlett 1: The Hawks (10-6-2, 2-3-1) played a tough match on senior day, but it wasn’t enough as Waubonsie Valley was too strong in the second half to allow the Hawks a UEC Valley victory. Nicole Gobbo scored off an assist from Jessica Cosentino while Natalia Grodzki turned away 8 shots on goal.
