Take a break from work day with Schaumburg parks

In celebration of National Employee Health and Fitness Day, Schaumburg Park District will hold the 23rd Annual Employee Fitness Walk from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, at the Woodfield Lake Office Campus, 1100 E. Woodfield Road, in Schaumburg.

The event will include a one-mile scenic walk around the campus pond, free raffle prizes, health information and a delicious lunch provided by Sporty’s Catering. Musical entertainment will be provided by 104.3 K-Hits Chicago. The event is hosted by McKnight Property Management, and sponsored by Alexian Brothers Health System and Dick Pond Athletics.

Cost is $10 for individual walkers though Wednesday, May 9. After Thursday, May 10, cost is $15 for individual walkers. Preregistration is encouraged.
