Ben Reiff had 2 goals for the visiting Wildcats (17-5, 7-0), who asserted themselves in the third quarter with a 5-1 scoring edge.
George Vladimirov led the way for Hersey (7-8, 4-3) with 3 goals.
Fremd 13, Schamburg 11 (OT): The MSL West-leading Vikings turned back second-place Schaumburg thanks to a 3-1 edge in OT.
John Patrick French (5 goals), Andre Degla (4) and Ryan Helsdingen (3) did the bulk of the damage for the Vikings (13-4, 7-0), and Greg Plichta came up with 13 saves.
Schaumburg (11-5, 5-2) got 4 goals from both Marty Kwiatkowski and Randy Carr.
