Bring your pooch to Canine Carnival in Schaumburg

Dogs and their owners will enjoy an afternoon of tail-wagging fun at the Canine Carnival from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way.

Activities will include games, costume and trick contests, bobbing for hot dogs, potato sack races, photos, vendors, treats, prizes and agility fun.

“The event was a hit last year,” said Gwen Strombeck, Meineke Recreation Center manager. “Owners especially loved hopping in the potato sack races alongside their dogs.”

Dogs must be leashed at all times outside of fenced areas. Participants must bring proof of all current shots when registering and attach to registration form.

Resident cost is $2 per person and $5 per dog; nonresident cost is $3 per person, $7 per dog.
