Schaumburg parks hosting dodgeball tournament

Dodge, duck and dive at National Amateur Dodgeball Association spring tournaments.

NADA and dodgeball enthusiasts will take over the Sport Center, 1141 W. Irving Park Road, Schaumburg, on March 31 and April 14, at the annual spring tournaments. Teams in youth and adult divisions will compete to qualify for the Outdoor National Championships in July.

The Spring Break Youth Tournament, a Schaumburg CAN program which promotes healthy activity for children, is set for Saturday, March 31, for boys and girls in fourth through 12th grades. Check-in will begin at 9 a.m. A captain’s meeting will be held at 9:45 a.m. with matches following at 10 a.m.

The Spring Tune-Up Adult Tournament for ages 18 and older will be held Saturday, April 14. Check-in will begin at 9 a.m. A captain’s meeting will be held at 9:45 a.m. with matches following at 10:30 a.m. Men’s, women’s and co-rec divisions are available. Registration deadline for the adult tournament is Monday, April 9. Adult fee is $125 for a team of 6 to 10 players.

Spring tournaments are NADA sanctioned events with games officiated by NADA staff.
