Schaumburg Boomers host open house, egg hunt April 7

On April 7, the day the team’s single-game tickets go on sale, the Schaumburg Boomers will host an open house at Boomers Stadium featuring an Easter Egg Hunt, prizes, free food, tours, baseball and a special announcement.

A former major leaguer with strong Chicago ties will be introduced as a member of the Boomers coaching staff at the event, which is open to the public from noon to 3 p.m.

The Easter Egg Hunt will start at 1:30 p.m. and the new member of the coaching staff will be introduced at 2:30 p.m. Boomers Stadium is at 1999 S. Springinsguth Road in Schaumburg.
