Mundelein opens with dominant win
Parker Tortorello slammed 8 kills and served 2 aces, as Mundelein’s boys volleyball team defeated Waukegan 25-18, 25-14 in its season opener Tuesday night.
Mundelein also got 3 kills apiece from Blake Burton and Corey Flores. David Everding delivered 3 aces, and Jose Orozco dished out 13 assists.
Libertyville d. Maine South: The Wildcats got 6 kills from Matt Tassler and five apiece from Brandon Leatherwood and Stefan Vidovich in their 25-20, 25-16 win. Teddy Kopacz lofted 20 assists, and Stew Zacher recorded 7 digs.
