Simpson (49), N. Chicago handle Wauconda

Aaron Simpson scored 49 points, including nine 3-pointers, leading North Chicago's boys basketball team to a 112-65 victory over host Wauconda Friday night.

The victory moved North Chicago (18-3, 11-0) within one game of capping a perfect run through the North Suburban Prairie Division.

Kyle Ryan scored 22 points, including six 3-pointers for Wauconda (10-14, 3-8). Matt Mead added 16 points, and Keith Blomberg had a season-high 15 for the Bulldogs.
