Shelter Inc. presents health/stress seminar

Shelter Inc. will host a free three-hour seminar “Living Better, Working Better, Feeling Better,” 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at the Schaumburg Township District Library in the Adult Classroom, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Seating is limited and the registration deadline is Monday, Jan. 23. Go to shelter-inc.org or call (847) 590-6190, ext. 37. The seminar will focus on the importance of self-care, good nutrition, exercise and stress relief practices, especially for those individuals working in high stress social services careers or with children and adolescents. Three continuing education credits will be given to licensed social workers and counselors in attendance. Speakers include Tom Jordan on “Nutrition on the Brain,” Aimee Weber on “Exercise to Energize,” and Kimberly Mullan on “Chair Yoga and Meditation.”
