Grayslake North drills Woodstock

Mark Hall scored 16 points, Danny Mateling added 14, and Grayslake North's boys basketball team stayed hot with a 65-36 win over host Woodstock in a Fox Valley Fox Division game Wednesday night.

Zack Krupp, who sank two 3-pointers in the opening quarter, and AJ Fish added 9 points apiece for Grayslake North (10-5, 3-0), which captured its fifth straight win.

The Knights were up 18-11 after one quarter, 32-18 at halftime and 46-27 after three.

Woodstock's Jordan Turner led all scorers with 17 points.

Carmel 63, Wauconda 52: Conor Jordan, who missed a month of the season with an injury, continued to play well in his return to the Corsairs lineup, as the home team won the nonconference game.

Jordan and Nickai Poyser each scored 16 points, and Ian Kristan added 15 for Carmel (7-8). Jordan was coming off a 13-point effort against St. Viator last Friday.

Wauconda (9-10) was led by Kyle Ryan's 19 points (five 3-pointers) and 3 steals. Austin Swenson had 10 points for the Bulldogs.
