Schaumburg Library to celebrate 50th

Cake, music and a 1960s presentation will be on the agenda as the Schaumburg Township District Library celebrates a half century of service to the community with festivities from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

A special cake will be served in the lobby from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and “Savor the ‘60s” will be presented by authors Amy Alessio and Susan Miura from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Rasmussen Room.

Fast Eddie and the Corvettes, a band that has played on the same bill as Johnny Rivers, The Diamonds and Jerry Lee Lewis, will perform ‘60s tunes in the Audiovisual Theatre from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
