Harvest Christian wins in OT

Harvest Christian 34, Elgin Academy 31 (OT): Sydney Doby and Kylee Knox scored 12 points each and Harvest Christian’s girls basketball team overcame a slow start Thursday night to come back and defeat Elgin Academy in overtime.

Morgan Lockwood added 6 points for the Lions (12-3).

“We wanted to win tonight,” said Lions coach Kelly Friestad. “We handled the ball well and had some great defensive stops. We have slow starts and we need to get better at that.”

Ashley Barnes led Elgin Academy with a game-high 15 points.
