Elgin Academy picks up win

Sophomore Jumel Julien scored 23 points to lead Elgin Academy's boys basketball team to a 71-44 win over Harvest Christian Thursday night.

Tom Tunca added 12 points and Connor Flexman had 9 for the Hilltoppers (3-6).

"It was a great defensive effort," said Elgin Academy coach Dewayne Robinson. "Our defense created our offense."

North Boone 53, Burlington Central 52: Ryan Ritchie had 20 points to lead the Rockets (8-7, 1-1) in this Big Northern East setback. Bryce Warner added 9 points and Ray Hunnicutt had 8 for Burlington Central.
