Breakfast With Santa raises money for Feeding Northwest DuPage

The United Methodist and Congregational Men and Women decided to continue a 12-year tradition starting with Moms-In-School by hosting a 13th annual Breakfast with Santa as a fundraiser for the West Chicago Food Pantry, managed by Feeding Northwest DuPage.

The event was held on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of West Chicago.

The UMCM agreed to cook and the UMCW to serve.

More than 120 individuals were served a breakfast of pancakes with sausage and beverages.

Photos with Santa were sold along with craft items provided by the UMCW.

All the food was donated, allowing for more than $600 to be donated to the food pantry.

The UMCM and the UMCW are organizations representing the joint missions of the First United Methodist Church of West Chicago and the First Congregational Church of West Chicago.

For more information about these organizations call 630-231-3344 or visit the church website at www.firstumcucc.org.

The intent is to continue this tradition for years to come.

The UMCM and the UMCW are grateful to the residents of West Chicago and surrounding communities for their support. Come again in 2012!
