School reforms discussed:
An audience including parents, teachers, school board members, and union leaders attended a forum focusing on school reform this week at Wheeling High School. Stand for Children, an education advocacy group that seeks to work on behalf of students, presented information about the implementation of recent education reforms. The forum, organized by state 59th District state Rep. Carol Sente, focused on the implementation of three major reforms: The Performance Evaluation Reform Act, Senate Bill 7, and a newly revamped school report card to make it easier for parents to get information about the quality of their child’s education.
