Ryan shoots Wauconda to victory

Wauconda 50, Woodstock 28: Kyle Ryan sank four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 20 points, as the Bulldogs won their nonconference home game.

Ryan also had 8 steals and 5 rebounds.

Wauconda (3-3) got 10 points and 4 rebounds from Connor Rueb, while Matt Mead contributed 8 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 16-3 lead after one quarter and were up 25-8 at halftime.

Carmel 49, Lake Forest 33: Brandon Motzel scored a season-high 21 points, as the Corsairs snapped a three-game slide.

Sophomore Billy Kirby scored all 15 of his points from the foul line, shooting 15 of 16. Fellow sophomores Ian Kristan and Nickai Poyser hit first-quarter 3-pointers to help spark Carmel (2-4) to an early lead.

Thomas Durrett had 17 points for Lake Forest.
