Scouting report: Chew on this nugget the Raiders graduated a Division I player in Nevena Markovic, and Fonda said they're still "in a way better place" talent-wise. Talented and young is always better, and the Raiders are that. Fonda will go to bat with two sophomores and four freshmen all four of whom have AAU experience. Hicks, an athletic 5-foot-11 three-year starter, averaged 9.9 points and 6.2 rebounds last season. Bauman moves well for a 6-2 kid. Bazigos figures to man the point guard with Scheet and Markovic Nevena's kid sister filling the other guard spot. Fonda said the seniors and juniors have set the tone and the younger kids have taken and "run with it." She is bursting at the seams to show them off. "The practices I have had, I can't compare to any other year," Fonda said. "As a coach you pray for something like this."
