Second-graders at Benson Primary School in Itasca got a chance on Wednesday to participate in an Ability Awareness program, which was presented by NEDSRA (Northern DuPage Special Recreation Association). The students learned about hearing, visual and physical impairments and got a chance to use a sport wheelchair, wear special goggles, wear a blindfold with a walking cane and also learn some sign language.
