Environmental group’s fundraiser at Crystal Lake pub

The Environmental Defenders of McHenry County and Duke’s Alehouse and Kitchen are again teaming up to raise money for the Defenders’ annual environmental scholarship and educational programs with an afternoon sampling beers and seasonal foods. The fundraiser will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at Duke’s, 110 N. Main St., Crystal Lake.

The event will include food stations featuring Duke’s local harvest cuisine paired with beer. Tickets are $35 per person and include a raffle entry for a gift basket filled with prizes.

Tickets should be purchased no later than Thursday, Oct. 20, and are available at the Defenders’ office at 110 S. Johnson St., Suite 106, Woodstock, online at www.mcdef.org, or at Duke’s.
