Children's author coming to Glenside library Oct. 20

The Glenside Public Library District is pleased to host children's author, Andrea Beaty on Thursday, October 20 at 7:00 pm. Ms. Beaty is the author of the middle grade books Cicada Summer and Attack of the Fluffy Bunnies as well as several picture books including When Giants Come to Play, Iggy Peck, Architect, and her newest book, Hide and Sheep.

In her humorous style Ms. Beaty will talk about some of her favorite books and share some Halloween stories. The evening will be a little bit serious, a little bit scary and a whole lot of fun!

In the days preceding her library visit Ms. Beaty will be visiting elementary schools in Marquardt School District #15 and Queen Bee District #16 which serve Glenside Public Library District students.

After the presentation, Ms. Beaty will be available to sign books, which will be available for purchase.

Tickets to this free event are now available. Stop by or call the Youth Services desk at 630-260-1550 to reserve your tickets or to check out any of Ms. Beaty's books.
