'Parents' Night Out' Oct. 7 at Lake Co. YMCA

Parents of children, age 6 months to 11 years old, can enjoy an evening on their own once a month while the kids enjoy quality activities at Lake County Family YMCA facilities in Waukegan and Vernon Hills.

The Halloween-themed parents' night out event, "Pumpkin Pizzazz," takes place from 6:15 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7.

Instead of trying to find a babysitter for the evening, parents can sign their children up at the Y for a fun-filled evening of arts and crafts, games, music, and snacks.

All Lake County Family YMCA programs are designed to encourage the four core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Future parents' night out events are scheduled Friday, Nov. 4, and Friday, Dec. 9.

For more information about the program or its fees, or to register, call (847) 367-6797 or visit the Welcome Center at either the Northern Lake YMCA in Waukegan, 2000 Western Ave., or the Central Lake YMCA in Vernon Hills, 700 Lakeview Parkway.
