Submitted by McHenry County Department of Health

Seats are still available for an adult seven-week smoking cessation class offered by McHenry County Department of Health and Centegra Health System beginning Sept. 28.

The class will teach practical ways to end nicotine addiction through group support and behavior modification. It also will review nicotine replacement products that are currently on the market.

Instruction is provided by MCDH staff that is trained in the American Lung Association’s “Freedom from Smoking” program.

Classes will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center in Crystal Lake, 200 Congress Parkway. A $25 course fee, payable at the first class, is refundable if all seven sessions are attended. Class members also will receive a free three-day pass to the Health Bridge Fitness Center.
