Tour of Schaumburg parks Sept. 18

The Schaumburg Park District will hold a guided bus tour of the district’s parks from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 18, beginning and ending at Bock Neighborhood Center, 1223 W. Sharon Lane in Schaumburg.

“The tour is great for new residents to the area,” said Todd King, superintendent of parks and the guide for the event. The parks include Volkening Lake, Gray Farm Conservation Area, the Kay Wojcik Conservation Area at Oak Hollow, Olympic Park and Spring Valley. Preregistration is required for this free all-ages program.
