The Schaumburg Park District will offer 11- to 14-year-old scientists-in-training the opportunity to explore the natural world through science during a series of fall after-school sessions.

Science and Nature Explorers for the Middle-Schoolers will begin Wednesday, Sept. 14, with successive offerings on Oct. 12 and Nov. 16. The program will be from 2:15 to 4:15 p.m. on all three dates at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road. This program will allow youngsters who love science to explore the local environment and examine environmental issues from a scientific perspective.
