Elgin Genealogical Society to meet Aug. 18

Elgin Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18 in the first-floor meeting room of Gail Borden Public Library, 270 Grove Ave. in Elgin.

After a brief meeting, Bill Brandes will facilitate the computer interest group's look at the website "Find A Grave."

Those interested in brainstorming to lay the groundwork and guidelines for the writers' interest group will meet separately in another area.
