Open swim at Schaumburg Night Out

The Schaumburg Park District will host National Night Out from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way.

This national event is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, strengthen neighborhood spirit and generate support for local anti-crime programs.

From 6:30-7:30 p.m., there will be visits and information from Schaumburg Police Department’s officers and bike and motor patrol, state representatives and the fire department. A variety of silly games, contests, sidewalk chalk play and a DJ will also be featured. The night will conclude with open swim in Meineke Pool from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Admission is free. Barbecued concessions and drinks will be sold for an additional cost.
