Woodridge attracts new residents
In an effort to attract new residents to the community and to provide area businesses with a useful resource, village staff recently completed a resident Relocation Packet highlighting the wonderful advantages of living in Woodridge. The packet is available on the Village website and has been provided to area businesses to encourage local employees to live in Woodridge -- close to their workplace.
The Relocation Packet highlights Woodridge's high quality of life, central location, wide range of housing opportunities, numerous recreational amenities, over 650 acres of parkland and open space, and award winning educational and public services. In addition to the great amenities that Woodridge offers, living close to work can increase reliability of employees, as well as greatly reduce the overall cost of gasoline and vehicle maintenance expenses for employees.
In addition to providing the Relocation Packet to Woodridge businesses to share with Woodridge employees, the packet was provided to and has been utilized by Navistar for the relocation of their world headquarters to nearby Lisle, bringing along thousands of new employees to the area.
"The Relocation Packet showcases our community. The Packet is just one example of how the Village is committed to providing resources to businesses to meet their ever changing needs," said Kathleen Rush, Village Administrator. "We encourage businesses to use this resource to show employees why Woodridge is not only a great place to work, but also a great community to live in."
