Golf outing raises $29,000 for Dist. 54

The Schaumburg Township Elementary School Foundation’s 14th annual golf outing raised $29,000 last month for District 54 schools.

The mission of the 24-year-old charitable foundation is to fund programs for District 54 students which are not covered by school budgets or tax dollars.

This year’s golf outing was held June 13 at the Schaumburg Golf Club. The event was sponsored by Manzardo & Associates and featured contests on all three courses before ending with a barbecue dinner buffet, presentation of winning team prizes and a silent auction.

The foundation privately raises funds to support teacher grant programs and student scholarships for nonbudgeted programs.

Information about upcoming events and fundraisers is regularly posted on the foundation’s website, d54foundation.com.
