Helen Chang to perform at Adler Center's benefit concert June 10

The David Adler Music and Arts Center will present a Benefit Concert on Friday June 10th beginning at 7 p.m. Piano instructor Helen Chang is among the many talented performers that will be featured in the concert.

Helen started playing the piano at age 5 when her parents enrolled her in group lessons; she began private music instruction soon after. Helen holds a bachelor of arts degree from University of Illinois Chicago, and did graduate studies at University of Illinois in Urbana where she graduated with a master of music in piano performance. Her favorite composer is Beethoven, and enjoys listening to and performing pieces by this composer.

Helen says that the best thing about being a teacher is seeing the different personalities and interests of her students, and helping them develop their piano playing in an engaging and interesting way.

Benefit concert tickets are $12 for Adler Center members, and $15 for nonmembers. For concert tickets and information, please call (847) 367-0707.
