French film screening in Hoffman Estates
The Celebrations and Sister Cities Commissions of the Village of Hoffman Estates, in conjunction with the Schaumburg Township District Library, are showing of the French film, “Tell No One”
(“Ne le dis à personne”), from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at the village hall, 1900 Hassell Road.
“Tell No One” is a French thriller about a pediatrician, Alexandre Beck, who still grieves for his beloved wife, Margot, who was murdered eight years earlier. When two bodies are uncovered near where Margot was found, however, the police reopen the case, and Alex becomes a suspect again. The Los Angeles Times calls “Tell No One” “a top-notch thriller so twisty you may forget to breathe.”
Dann Gire, film critic with the Daily Herald, will introduce the fi lm, and talk about French cinema. The movie, which runs 125 minutes, is in French with English subtitles, and is unrated. Popcorn and light refreshments will be served. There is no charge, but voluntary donations of nonperishable food items or a monetary donation benefiting local food pantries are encouraged.
