Carmel d. Highland Park: Carmel swept Highland Park (30-28, 28-26) to move to 14-11 on the season. The Corsairs got a team-high 10 kills out of Michael Fitzgibbons and 8 kills from Frankie Cohen, who also led the team with 10 digs. Fitzgibbons was right behind with 9 digs. Meanwhile Jack Butler had 4 solo blocks and an ace while setter Alex Dunlap had 29 assists for the Corsairs.
Mundelein d. Elk Grove: Thanks in part to 12 kills by Corey Flores, Mundelein pulled its record to .500 (12-12) with a 26-24, 23-25, 25-22 victory. Parker Tortorello and Jamie Jahen added 9 and 8 kills respectively. Jahen also had 4 blocks while setter Joey Timmerman finished with 35 assists.
Libertyville d. Palatine: Libertyville pulled off the sweep (25-11, 25-17) to improve to 17-9 on the season. The Wildcats were led by Eric Handrich, who had 6 kills and 6 digs. Scott Cooper also had 6 digs. Meanwhile, setter Teddy Kopacz finished with 19 assists for the Wildcats.
Stevenson d. Fremd: Stevenson got its 20th win of the season with a sweep of Fremd, 25-17, 25-15. Nikola Antonijevic led the way with 9 kills while teammate Danny Gescheidle added 6 kills for the Patriots, who move to 20-3 overall. Darien Wu rolled up 11 digs for Stevenson and setter Zachary Kravits had 17 assists.
