“Les Mis” a triumph for Dundee-Crown

They did it again.

Dundee-Crown High School has produced another musical sensation — “Les Mis.”

I had the privilege to see it April 15 and must sing the praises of everyone involved. Of course, the initial praise must go to the fabulous production director, Lisa Bettcher, and her brilliant orchestra director husband, Mark Bettcher. This was a very complex undertaking and all the people involved, plus the wonderful cast of 74 students, are to be congratulated.

I must make special mention of Dan Zozokas as Jean Valjean, Brandon Stone as Marius, and Nicholas Spindler as Thenadier.

It was such a wonderful opportunity for these young people to broaden their horizons in so many ways. They learned more history, they bonded with each other and, above all, they learned the joy of beautiful music.

A very special thank you for an inspiring performance.
