Dix, Prospect corral Conant

Prospect senior Meg Dix delivered 8 goals to help the host Knights past Conant 17-9 in a matchup of two of the Mid-Suburban League’s more successful girls water polo teams Thursday.

Jessica Cavaiani and Lisa Mazur scored 3 apiece for Prospect (7-0), which leads the MSL East with a 5-0 mark.

Conant, which is in third place in the MSL West and fell to 8-7 overall, got 3 goals from Andie Cobb and 2 each from Katie Varga and Kristi Burke.

St. Viator 14, Maine East 2: Melanie Battaglia and Margaret Stephanowski scored 4 goals apiece as St. Viator rolled past host Maine East.

Hoffman Estates 9, Elk Grove 4: Rachel Gallo had a game-best 5 goals to help visiting Hoffman Estates (4-7) earn an MSL crossover victory. Jordan Crocker had 3 goals for the Grenadiers (1-9).
