St. Viator 50th anniversary gala to be at Navy Pier
St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights will host its annual Night of the Lion Gala Saturday, April 9, at Navy Pier, part of the school’s 50th anniversary celebration.
The elegant affair will pay special tribute to the Clerics of St. Viator, the Viatorian order that founded and operates the school. Tickets are available now online at 50years.saintviator.com.
“The Night of the Lion is our largest annual community celebration and fundraiser for the school,” said Mary Maher, executive director, Office of Institutional Advancement, at St. Viator. “We are moving the event to Navy Pier to accommodate what we hope will be our biggest crowd ever.”
The gala will include cocktails, a gourmet dinner, live auction and a very special tribute to the Clerics of St. Viator.
“Each year we choose an individual or couple who have made significant contributions to the school,” said the Rev. Robert M. Egan, CSV, a Class of ’69 alum and current president.
“As we celebrate 50 years of education, it is only fitting that we honor the priests and brothers who have served as such extraordinary faculty and administrators.”
“We want to fill the room with former students and their families to acknowledge the impact the Clerics of St. Viator have had in shaping so many lives,” he said.
Tickets are limited and are moving quickly, according to Maher. Hotel packages are also available at the Amalfi Hotel, the Chicago Marriott Downtown, and the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza.
